This page explains how HomeNSearch Editorial writes, checks and updates the guides, articles and listing information on homensearch.com. Buying property abroad means dealing with legal, tax and visa rules, and a wrong figure can cost the reader real money. Our process is built around that risk.

Who writes our texts

Guides and articles are published under the byline HomeNSearch Editorial. We cover buying property in the UAE, Cyprus, Thailand, Bali, Turkey, Azerbaijan and other countries: how a purchase works, what it costs in fees and taxes, which visas and residence permits are linked to property, and what everyday life in a country costs.

Where our facts come from

Legal, tax, visa and fee facts are checked against official sources first: government portals, the relevant authority and the text of the law. Reputable law firms and big-four accounting firms are used only as a second source, never as the only one.

When a text states a rule, it names the source and the month we checked it. You can see where a figure came from and how fresh it is.

A second check before publishing

Since September 2026, every new or rewritten guide and article that contains legal or money facts is fact-checked a second time before it goes live. This check is done independently of the author, against the same official sources. Older texts are being reviewed and rewritten in batches, and the date on each page shows its last review.

How we keep texts current

Rules on property ownership, residence permits and taxes change often. We review each guide and article at least once a quarter, and sooner when we learn that a rule has changed. The "updated" date on the page shows the last review.

What our texts are not

Our guides and articles are general information. They are not legal, tax or immigration advice for your situation.

Some rules are unsettled, or the answer depends on the buyer's citizenship, residence or the type of property. In those cases we say so plainly and recommend checking with a local lawyer or tax adviser before you sign or pay anything.

Listings

Property data on homensearch.com comes from developers and partner agencies. Prices and availability can change after a listing is published, so confirm the current terms with the seller before making decisions. We are not a developer and do not sell property ourselves.

Translations

Texts are written in English and then translated into other languages using a terminology glossary, so the same legal term is rendered the same way every time. The facts, figures and sources stay identical across all language versions.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every fact is verified against its source before publishing, and the checks described above apply to AI-assisted texts in the same way.
